Whatever weird art block it was I had going on recently seems to have lifted somewhat. Now there's just the huge mountain of backlogged things staring me down.

DS site reformat is complete... for now.
*wipes forehead dramatically*
It fought me every step of the way, too. The character profiles are all up, links have been updated, all that jazz. There's a soundtrack. Also, new splash-page eye candy (pose reference here: [link] ) - which I'm particularly proud of, as I hadn't been able to draw my own character in about three years

RMwerx also updated, mostly the "artist" page.

Monday, yard work. Wrestling with holly bushes really makes my day.
Monday, J and I have out one-year re-dating anniversary, too. I must be getting old. All I can think of to do is just spend the evening at the apartment, sitting around being lazy

No off-days next weekend, which blows, but I bring it on myself shuffling my off-days around to maximize vacation time =/
The bad part is they have me working 3-11 those two days, as opposed to 12-8, which is my usual shift. Why?!

Soon, soon I will be preparing candy sushi for the Booster-level attendees. See, I have this personality quirk, where I'll look at something and think 'I bet I could do that better', and proceed to obsess over exactly how to do that. That's why I volunteered to make the treats this year. Hopefully I'll be able to pull off my plan to have low-sugar versions for the sugar-intolerant. If you're paying that much to support the con, I can bend a little.
The Plan:
"Rolls" will have dried fruit as filling, as opposed to actual candy. Sugar is unavoidable, since the "rice" is Rice Krispies Treats, but eh.
"Nigiri" will feature candy fruit slices.
"Wasabi" is green cake icing, and I found some el-cheapo chopsticks for like.. a dollar. I'm a sucker for authenticity.

...and because it's unavoidable...
